Well, Crossfire is officially back! Your unanimous choice. As part of our new winning formula, most every week JW [Quirky] Burkey will share a WOW! w/us, Austin Garrett will lead us in a stunt we call Goofy Games w/Smooth Steve, and Tammy Easterling (beginning 05/15) will give that nurturing TLC as Crossfire Mom. Pastor Jeff leads Crossfire in a way that should help set up our next Youth Minister for success. We hope to find, fully scrutinize, and secure this person by mid-late summer.

Here’s a quick look at what’s planned this month. Make plans to bring friends to join us.
Sunday, May 1 – students help serve holy communion Sunday morning in honor of Mother’s Day (the next Sunday, 05/08—don’t forget her)
– Popcorn Volleyball and other fun competitions against and with Good Shepherd Episcopal students; grandmotherly snacks—yum!
Sunday, May 8 – hey, it’s Mother’s Day, NO student ministry today, do something for and with her
Sunday, May 15 – 2pm student and parent meeting about Crossfire’s super summer: missional mystery trip, DNA experience w/retreat, and more…
– it’s Pentecost Sunday (you know, when the Holy Spirit “fell” and the Lord’s Church was birthed), so we’re gonna take a wild road trip connected to the fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5; and we’ll initiate Tammy Easterling as the new Crossfire Mom ;-D
Sunday, May 22 – fun and toil in your Upper Room
Sunday, May 29 – (Memorial Day weekend) x (Christian history) = (martyrdom); we’ll take a look at martyrs and see how their lives affected others’ and maybe ours
Sunday, June 5 – movie and discussion on Risen; and, yes, of course we’ll have plenty of free popcorn and sodas 🙂
