George & Val Shultz February Update

ChurchNews & Events

Dear family and friends,

Greetings from Dallas, Texas, where we are enjoying warm weather for the month of February!

We continue to work through this transition period from our ministry of Bible translation in Cameroon to a new ministry assignment in Dallas.

We have met with our Wycliffe supervisor during this time of furlough and he has told us that we must have 100% of our ministry budget before George can begin his new assignment with SIL as the Corporation Secretary. Our financial support is about 80% of our new ministry budget so we are praying that the Lord will provide the additional 20% financial support that is needed.

We are grateful for you who have told us that you will continue to be partners with us in this ministry, and grateful for you who have told us that you will increase your financial contributions. This is a great encouragement to us. Please also pray with us that God will provide all the financial partners that we need in order to continue in this ministry with Wycliffe Bible Translators and SIL. And pray for wisdom to know how we should express our need for more ministry partners to others, and to do other partnership development activities.

Pray for the Bible translation students in Cameroon as they continue to study to prepare to serve as Bible translators in their language communities. Pray for all the faculty and staff at the seminary to provide good training to these translation students. And pray for the translation students who graduated from the seminary to have effective ministries for the kingdom of God.
We have made some new prayer cards that we would like to send to you. The card also has a response card that can be sent to Wycliffe to indicate a desire to partner with us in this ministry of Bible translation. Please share these cards with others that may be interested in the ministry of Bible translation. Thank you.

Thanks for praying for us! We are praying for you, too!
George and Val
