Message from Missions

ChurchNews & Events

Our “Love Thy Neighbor… Do Something” campaign is off and running. We have 38 participants and already people are doing wonderful things. Many members are using their own money to contribute to others in need. People I have talked to are excited and ready to reach out to others. Each week we will share with you where people are volunteering and what they are doing with their $200. There are so many worthwhile causes that sometimes it is difficult to choose.  As Mission chair I love seeing others benefiting from our donations. Remember to send me pictures  at dgallagher224@gmail.com for a final presentation on Easter Sunday. Thank you to everyone who is participating.

Volunteer IDEAS

Our own CEP needs homework helpers, afternoon van drivers, and general supporters. The Chamber of Commerce wants assistance in creating a business library—someone to sort, clean and organize. Our Trustees want workers as we scour our campus grounds and facilities to prepare for Easter [see article for details]. The lawn maintenance crew can always use help with the upkeep of our campus. Our church also supports Cedar Hill Shares (the food pantry), Hope Mansion, and Bridges Safehouse. And Cedar Hill ISD can use help with tutoring at elementary schools.
