Dear congregation,

Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

Would you like to participate in a virtual prayer meeting since we cannot meet in person?

I would like to try to organize an online prayer meeting when you can use your laptop computer, tablet, or smart phone to connect to the meeting with the Skype video conferencing app. With Skype we can do voice calls and video chats, as well as send instant messages to each other. This is one way that could try to connect with each other, encourage each other, and pray for each other, and pray for people who are suffering from the COVID-19.

We could plan a virtual meeting to last 30 minutes. With Skype, we can see each other on our screens and hear each other on our devices. We can share prayer requests and pray for each other, out loud or silently.

For those who cannot connect to the Internet, we may try to connect you with someone who lives near you.

If you are interested in participating in a virtual prayer meeting, please let me know and I will include you in the meeting and give you instructions. You can contact me by email (george_shultz@sil.org), by phone (214-537-2508), or by Skype (search for georgefshultz).

The first one was Thursday evening, March 19, and five people were able to participate. The second will be Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer. Romans 12:12

Grace and peace,

George
