Ways to get involved with children at our church:
Sunday School Classes/Children’s Church/Cry Room/Nursery
Children’s Sunday School classes are not currently meeting, but when they do, Patty Brooks and Janine Immler lead the Sunday School classes for our children on Sunday mornings in Wesley Hall at 9:00 a.m. During the worship service at 10:00 a.m., children start out in the worship service in the Main Sanctuary with their parents and later can go with Miss Patty to Children’s Church in Wesley Hall (the building with the fountain out front). A nursery is available during worship in the same building with a wonderful staff. We also have a cry room in the front of the sanctuary that is available if you want to keep your children with you, but allow them freedom of expression.
Acolytes help in worship by lighting altar candles, assisting with the offering, facilitating communion, and doing readings and prayers as they feel able.
CEP, YEP, and Wesley Academy
The Children’s Enrichment Program (CEP) and Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) are for children ages 18 months to 12 years of age. During the school year, our programs include before and after care as well as our Wesley Academy. Wesley Academy is an individualized education program for preschoolers. Programs are also available during school holidays and in the summer. For more information, call Cherrill Foster At 972-291-1804.
Mission Possible Kids
Mission Possible Kids lead the church in the annual Operation Christmas Child shoebox drive, an evangelistic outreach to Third World children led by Amy Patton.
Mission Possible Kids also host the Great Cookie Caper with Tammy Easterling to provide a better Christmas to local children.
