George & Val Shultz March Update

ChurchNews & Events

Dear family and friends,
Greetings from Dallas. We are enjoying the Spring flowers here in Texas. Soon we will see fields of the state flower – bluebonnets!
We thank God for what he is doing to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to more and more language communities in Cameroon. Near Ndu, where we were training Bible translators, there is a large Bible translation project that involves six language communities that are clustered around the small town of Misaje. All of those six language groups translated the Gospel of Luke and produced the Luke Film in their language. The newly released film was shown recently in one of those communities, a Chung village, and people were amazed to hear Jesus speaking the Chung language! One of the graduates of the Bible translation training program, Elijah Fale, is leading this cluster project.
Praise God for the variety of ways He is letting people know about salvation in Jesus Christ: Bible translation and Scripture in video form. Even for people who have a difficult time learning to read the Bible translation in their language, they can learn about the Good News in their own language through video presentations.

Thank you for praying for us as we try to develop more prayer and financial partners for the ministry of Bible translation. We need to do this before we can begin our new assignments at the SIL International headquarters. We thank God that he has called some new people to become financial partners with us in this ministry. Please continue to pray for more partners. Thank you.

May you all enjoy the beauty of God’s creation as Spring comes wherever you are.
Grace and peace,
George & Val
