08/10, Isle of Man: It’s the singular island between Ireland and England. (Really, look it up.) The country is under British rule, but has more of a Gaelic heritage. Merely 32×14 miles in size; yet some scholars believe the earliest evidence of colonization dates back to 6500 BC! What? Their language is Manx; and if you’ve ever heard of a Manx cat, the tailless breed w/long hind legs, yep, they come from here. No, we’re not bringing you back a kitty. This big isle feels like a large, rural, private, Irish island to me. Alluringly peaceful. Can we stay?

~ We can’t help but envision young King David wandering around the pastures singing Psalm 23:1-3, “The Lord is my Shepherd… in green pastures… beside still waters… restoreth my soul.”
