07/27, Qaqortoq, Greenland: Always heard Greenland is icy white and Iceland is pretty green. Not here. Looks like another fishing town, but w/amazing fjords and glaciers. Part of the regional ‘Iceberg Capital of the World’ and a rare place to watch blue ice (frozen hunks of ocean water). This obscure town has had constant human presence for about 4300 years—that’s around 2300 BC, the approx. date of Noah and the flood! Remarkable. This place calls us to be good stewards of nature.

~ Psalm 8:5-9, O Lord, “You have made humans a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of Your hands; You put everything under their feet: all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. Oh Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!
