The Missional Mystery Trip

ChurchPastor's Blog

Continuing my long-standing, pastoral dual-emphasis on making church meaningful and enjoyable, I’ve been conspiring with some others on this summer’s Crossfire excursion: The Missional Mystery Trip. [Inspiration readily credited to The Beatles and Scooby Doo.] This one will soften the heart, sharpen the mind, challenge the body, and tickle the funny bone. We leave after worship on Sunday morning July 31st and return sometime that Saturday, August 6th.
We drive ourselves; no planes, boats or otherwise. We labor, learn, discover, play, and relax. We sleep on beds, pallets, and in one night of luxurious comfort. We eat a wide variety of foods from snacks or rations to memorable meals. It’s a faithful and faith-filled fun fest for—well, maybe you too!
We invite you to dare to enter the adventure with us. The element of surprise is half the fun. You in? Gimme a call and we’ll talk.
From My Heart,
Rev. Jeff Garrett
