We’ve had two church rent from us over the last several years since Church on the Hill left us. 70×7, a predominantly African-American church, follows us at noon where ever we worship to maximize the same climate-controlled space. Summit Bible, an interracial fellowship, has worshipped in the gym at 11am, with children in two of our Wesley Hall classrooms. Recently, the Summit pastor abruptly announced his retirement due to health concerns. However, we’ve been blessed with another larger church who wants to rent: MILAN (Light to the Nations), a Latino body. By the way, all three churches are basic evangelical, Bible teaching, non-denominational ones with solid accountability practices.
The Trustees are very glad to announce that as of October 1st, 70×7 will worship in the Historic Sanctuary at 10:30am and return to the Parlor for classes on Wed. nights. As of October 8th, MILAN will worship in the Main Sanctuary at 1:00pm and return for classes in Wesley Hall on Wednesday nights. Both are a godsend to us by helping offset expenses as well as reach more people. Please pray for them to flourish. As they thrive, we thrive alongside them like in the book of Jeremiah when God told Israel to pray for the prosperity of the city of Babylon, explaining to them, “as they prosper, you will prosper.” May it be so… in Jesus’ name and for His kingdom.
