Scout Sunday and Souper Bowl of Sharing

Souper Bowl of Sharing Next Sunday
Sunday, February 5th is the day for this fun annual tradition. We always enjoy the special poem Debbie Gallagher writes for the occasion as every year on Super Bowl Sunday we take up a collection for Cedar Hill Shares Food Pantry. Place your items or money in one of the tubs representing the Atlanta Falcons or the New England Patriots. Support whichever team you like; the local needy are the real winners. Items count one point each, but dollars are worth three points each. Remember, Cedar Hill Shares can buy three meals with every dollar given. Money placed on the altar rail during communion also goes to Cedar Hill Shares this Sunday.

Scout Sunday
Sunday, Feb. 5th we also celebrate Scout Sunday and the benefits of Scouting in young people’s lives. We welcome our Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, their parents, and their leaders as they join us in worship.
